Greetings from Iligan City, the Philippiness. On the 8th of September 2009 I visited on of thye rebel areas,Baloi.I went to about five Baragaies. We when with a motor biycle, left Iligan City by 6am.The major problem for the people is there's no road to get their farm produces to the market, cause of that, they perfer to be with the rebels.I talk with some of them and they said if there is a road to get their produces to market there is no need to be part of the rebels. The farmers appeal for fertilizers to help there crops grow better and faster.I visited most of the school in the Barangaies. The poeple there are muslims and very poor. One of the schools host 400students with only four class rooms. They have to sit under the trees for some classes.Another school I visited had 1,600pupils and one computer without internet service. They apeal for more class rooms and some computers to be able to give the pupils some coputer knowledge.Another school host about 200pupils with only four rooms. There was a clinic there before, but up to daye no clinic, they also appeal for additional class rooms and renovation of the old clinic.

The next dat on the 9th of September I was invited at the Mindanao State University of Technology,College of Arts and Social Sicences at the Department of Political Science as a speaker.I spoke with two classes for a hour each. They wanted to know more Africa interms of politics, economy, government and natural resources, also my personal life,my family, silbings and the rest and my experiances as a child soldier.I was awarded a certificate of participation and a lamter.Hopefully I leave for another rebel area on Sunday the 13th of September, than for Combodia on the 20th of September for a week to attain the youth peace confereances, about 250 youths from around the world will be present, mainly former child soldiers and youth from conflict areas.
